T-Mobile will launch the Samsung Galaxy Note II on October 24 in their networks

I believe the word from Samsung will make you so excited to hear it. What is it? Samsung's Galaxy Note II will be released on T-Mobile network, precisely on this Wednesday 24th October.

in fact the news of this release has been blowing hard since about 2 weeks ago via an internal T-Mobile screenshots, but many people assume that it's just a rumor until we got the good news came. T-Mobile stores have begun accepting shipments for release October 24th.

T-Mobile has big plans for this device. As far as pricing, seeing as the Galaxy S III is $279.99 on-contract, I think it’s safe to assume that we’re looking in the $300-$349 range, and possibly even more seeing as T-Mobile likes to offer a few pricing options based on the type of plan. Hopefully pricing will be announced very soon. What are your thoughts? Are you more likely to purchase this beast of a device this time around or stick with a more “conventional-sized” phone

Google Launches New Tool Android 4.2 on October 29th

Invitation for a Google event on 29 October finally slightly parted. According to the website The Next Web, Google distributes an internal video that gives details and confirms speculation about what will be revealed on October 29.

Quoted from Mashable, Monday (22/10/2012), the video report discusses the launch of Google Nexus 7 32 GB version with 3G support. Moreover, it also suggests that Google worked with Samsung to release a 10-inch tablet called the "Nexus 10" Android based 4.2 (Key Lime Pie), and a Nexus smartphone manufactured by LG.

Android 4.2 will have the option of a panoramic camera and the ability to "tablet sharing", which allows more than one user accessing the device, it is similar to switching between user settings on Windows computers.

As you know, earlier this week Google sent invitations to the media for an Android event held in New York City. This time though, the invitation did not specify what will be announced, but the tagline "the playground is open", indicating that the event has to do with Google Play.

Although Google claimed internal video has been circulating, but the Google has yet to give an official statement related to the product which will be announced on October 29, 2012.

Android 4.1 / 5.0 Jelly Bean Images Leaked

Ahead of Google Nexus Tablet Release Date

It has been accepted as a foregone conclusion that the Google Nexus Tablet release date is just around the corner, following a string of leaks, accredited whispers and indeed a dose of educated guesswork. When and where said release date comes about, one of the most striking adornments the Google Nexus Tab is expected to carry will of course be Android 4.1 Jelly Bean – or Android 5.0 as some have already dubbed the new OS.

However, the debate as to what exactly Android Jelly Bean will serve up in its own right rages on today, even with only a matter of days to go until Google’s I/O and the likely arrival of the Nexus Tablet. In fact, such in the impatience of some Android devotees that even at this last-second stage in the build-up, supposed ‘leaked’ screenshots of Android Jelly Bean have made their way onto the web.

While the recently publicized shots do not exactly offer up a comprehensive picture of Android Jelly Bean or indeed the Google Nexus Tablet as a whole, they would appear to confirm that the new OS is more of a minor upgrade than a full-on revamp. In fact, the images would seem to suggest that those hedging their bets on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean moniker may be onto something.

On the other hand of course, the ‘leaked’ images could be just as fraudulent as the thousands of others that have come our way over recent months, though at the 11th hour one has to question why any would really go through the trouble only to be discredited days later.

That being said, stranger things happen in the Android community every day!

Spec-wise, the Google Nexus Tablet is expected to serve up a 7-inch screen, quad-core Tegra 3 processor and up to 1GB of dedicated RAM – all for a delightfully reasonable $199.

Google is likely to launch the Nexus Tab or at very least offer a confirmed release date at its I/O event next week on June 27th.

How to install the LG UI 3.0 Launcher on any Android phone or tablet

Have you seen LG’s latest proprietary UI? The LG UI 3.0 really looks great and it’s very smooth, too. If you are bored with your current UI and you’ve been imagining what the LG UI 3.0 would look like on your device, imagine no more. It’s available for all Android devices so you can try it no matter what your device is.

Many people are scrambling to get the amazing goodies brought by the Samsung Galaxy S3, just like the TouchWiz 5 which has already been ported to several Android devices, and it’s not going to stop until everyone gets her or his share.

On the other hand, LG’s latest proprietary UI, which was seen on its latest and upcoming devices, doesn’t need to be ported anymore because XDA Developers member Impact7 has created a brilliant way to install it on all Android devices.

The LG UI 3.0 Launcher is quite impressive; it’s smooth and it includes some unique features of its own which you won’t normally find in other UIs. For instance, it has unique customization features like screen effects, themes support, the ability to rearrange icons in the apps menu and/or grouping them together, and the ability to shift between scrolling and non-scrolling wallpaper, circularly scrolling home screens, and more.

This UI is really worth checking out. If you want to try this UI, see the requirements and instructions below.

Requirements

Acer battles iPad with A700: a $450 full HD Android tablet

Acer has a response to Apple’s new iPad with Retina Display and it’s called the A700. The 10.1-inch tablet offers a high-definition resolution of 1,920 by 1,200 powered by a Tegra 3 processor and Google Android 4.0 software. With 32 GB of internal storage and a memory expansion slot, the A700 is priced at $450, making it a good value for Android tablet buyers.

Acer has long been known as a value brand, often selling comparable products at relatively lower prices than its peers and competitors. To do so, Acer occasionally cuts a few corners with either missing or limited features or lower quality parts here and there. As I look through the specifications, however, no examples of this jump out at me.

The 16:10 aspect screen offers 178-degree viewing angles and 224 pixels per inch, which isn’t bad. The Tegra 3 chip has already proven its performance in the Asus Transformer Prime, so it should do well in the A700. Battery life is rated at 10.5 hours of video playback or eight hours of web browsing. GPS, Bluetooth (version 2.1 only) and an e-compass are in the Wi-Fi slate. A micro HDMI port supports audio and video output to digital televisions along with Dolby Mobile 3 and 5.1-channel surround sound. And the device runs on Google’s newest version of Android with a full gigabyte of memory.

Acer says customers in the U.S. and Canada can pre-order the A700 starting today. While I don’t see potential iPad buyers jumping on Acer’s newest slate by the thousands, the A700 does sound like an attractive — and reasonably priced — tablet for the Android crowd.

CONFIRMED: Asus + Google 7” Nexus Tab IS Coming

7” Google Nexus tab is to be revealed this month.

Thats according to an Asus exec who tipped off Android Authority about the imminent arrival of the (long rumoured) tablet decked out with 'Droid Ice Cream Sandwich, Nvidia quad-core Tegra 3 processor, ULP GeForce graphics card.

The revelation was made at Computex last week by Asus who are long believed to be behind Google first tablet, confirming all will be revealed by June end.

This means 7" tab could be launched Google I/O conference in San Francisco, kicking off 27-29th June.

And the 7" inch tablet with 1,280 x 768 res tab will be bargain tab (if Asus + Google get it right), and sell for between US$150 -$250, reports indicate.

And on the OS front, it will be upgraded to Android 4.1 as soon as it becomes available, although may be a surprise to some who were expecting the new tab to run Jelly Bean 5.0.

Samsung was behind the high spec'd Google Nexus smartphone released late last year, so it will be interesting how the Asus-Google tab will fare.

The Nexus will be Google's answer to Amazon 7" Kindle Fire tab which retails for $199 in the US and runs on older version of Android.

ASUS Gives Hint of a Double OS Windows 8 and Android Tab for Computex

ASUS has given a hint that the shortly to be launched tablet at the forthcoming Computex event will have a double boot of Windows 8 and Android!

Android has been a loud triumph in smartphones, but not nearly so in the tab market.

Standalone Android tabs comprising the Galaxy Tab series, Motorola XOOM, and their type have failed in a spectacular manner.

The condition with Windows 8 is even more exciting. Its Metro UI design idea has gained a lot of buffs, but its primary genuine implementation was in the Windows Phone operating system, and it serves to say that it has not set the globe burning either.
ASUS Gives Hint of a Double OS Windows 8 and Android Tab for Computex

ASUS is hedging its bets against the potential rejection of Windows 8 as an operating system for tabs, whereas also protecting itself from being drowned out amongst the never-ending waves of Android tabs, which reach the market every other month.

The company had thought experimenting with double booting OSs with its Padfone phablet earlier 2012, as it had been said to boast a blend of the Gingerbread and Honeycomb flavors of Android.

Google's Nexus Android Tablet (Leaked)

Google’s first Nexus-branded tablet is expected to be unveiled later this month when the search giant will host its annual Google I/O developer conference. The 7-inch Android tablet is reportedly made by Asus, and represents Google’s first attempt to create a pure Android tablet.

Google Nexus vs Kindle Fire

However, the device will not be an iPad rival, which is what people would assume Google would be interested in launching. Instead, the Google Nexus will be an affordable Android tablet meant to neutralize the Amazon Kindle Fire and its potential effects on the Android tablet business.

Amazon released the Kindle Fire last fall, and the $199 tablet became quite popular in the U.S. during the Christmas shopping season. The device managed to match, and even surpass, tablet sales from other Android tablet makers including Samsung, Motorola, HTC, LG and others, although the Kindle Fire demand has cooled down in the recent months.

However, the Kindle Fire, and its successors that should be unveiled at some point later this year, are a threat to Google. Amazon decided to create its own custom Android version for the device, and completely shun Google web services from it, thus controlling the entire Kindle Fire ecosystem, from hardware, to software, to digital content stores. Since Android is free, any OEM can customize it and adapt it as it sees fit, but most companies developing Android smartphones and tablets know better than to remove Google’s various mobile services (such as Search, Gmail, Maps, and others), which is very important for Google. After all, that’s how Google makes money off of Android, mobile advertising rather than actual device sales.

Google Nexus pictures

While we saw various rumors detailing Google’s progress with this first Nexus tablet (the name is yet to be confirmed), we have not seen any official images of the device, at least until today. Phone Arena has gotten its hands on the first leaked press images for the Google Nexus and while they can’t be confirmed at this time, they certainly appear to play the part.

The tipster that sent in the images also mentioned certain specs and features of the device, confirming the previously rumored quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 CPU, 1GB of RAM and most importantly, Android 4.1. The Galaxy Nexus images reveal that the tablet will be available in white and that it will lack any physical Home button. Moreover, the tablet will come with a front-facing camera and we’re apparently looking at a device that will offer users a 7-inch edge-to-edge display. Volume keys can be seen on the left-hand side, while on the back we spotted a shadow that could indicate the placement of a rear-facing camera and some sort of an on/off button on top. In case it matters, Google and Asus branding can be found only on the back of the device, but there’s no trace of the “Nexus” name.
Google Nexus tablet Asus

What’s worth insisting on is the fact that the device is said, again, to come with Android 4.1 on board. The Galaxy Nexus tablet has been rumored for quite a while to be the first Google device to run the company’s new mobile OS update, Android 5.0 Jelly Bean. Now it looks like the device will run a slightly improved Ice Cream Sandwich version instead of a completely new Android OS.

Is anyone particularly interested in a mid-ranged affordable Google Nexus tablet? Or would you rather buy a slightly more expensive, high-end Nexus device?
